Lunasin is a peptide found naturally in soy and is a unique 43-amino soybean peptide. Lunasin is responsible for many of soy’s documented health benefits, including:

LunaRich is applied under the tongue (sublingually) while LunaRich X capsules are orally ingested. LunaRich is absorbed directly into the bloodstream and distributed throughout the body, while the bioactive lunasin in the LunaRich X capsules goes through the gastrointestinal tract and accumulates in the liver before a smaller percentage enters the bloodstream and is distributed throughout the body.

LunaRich X will have more impact on liver and GI tract functions like cholesterol support. LunaRich will have more effects on cellular health and the functioning of the whole body.

The recommended dose is 2 mL of LunaRich — 1 mL in the morning and 1 mL in the evening.

A recent study of pigs supplemented daily with Reliv Now® and LunaRich X™ for eight weeks showed significant improvement in key biomarkers associated with cardiovascular and metabolic health.

Test subjects recorded a decrease in weight gain and a 65% reduction in free fatty acid (FFA) levels, a biomarker associated with obesity and metabolic syndrome. The decrease in FFA levels was accompanied by coordinate increases in plasma levels of the hormones leptin (+64%) and adiponectin (+60%). Leptin signals the brain when the body had enough food, producing the feeling of fullness. Adiponectin (ADP) is a hormone from fat cells that controls energy metabolism, increases insulin sensitivity and supports weight loss. The two hormones perform complementary actions and can have additive effects on weight management.

Currently, LunaRich is in seven Reliv products in the US. However, we do not consider product changes at Reliv without thorough study and testing, even when third-party research indicates the change will improve the product. People who consume our products have come to rely on them for their health and wellbeing. And we do not take that responsibility lightly. RLV Protect contains hemp extract and lunasin while LunaRich contains only concentrated lunasin. Lunasin absorption in LunaRich is higher due to the higher concentration.

LunaRich works to improve cholesterol in two ways. Most cholesterol is produced by your liver. Servings of LunaRich soy powder contain varying amounts of soy protein depending on the product, from 5g for Reliv Now® for Kids to 13 grams for ProVantage®. However, every serving of any LunaRich product does deliver the equivalent bioactive lunasin content found in 25 grams of high-quality soy protein.
